Another sudden storm has passed
The clouds receding like the last vestiges
Of an angry winter squall
That tore our sails and broke the mast
Left us bleeding as we cast a lifeboat out
Where all the waves are tall

The bitter wind will rise again
Even as we both pretend
These fickle currents lead us back to shore
We know this ocean all too well
We could fight against the swell
But we're too tired to struggle anymore

So wait it out and let it flow
